Aapo Huhta has explored a few different terrains that I have also explored or happened upon over the last decade, and he has combined them compellingly. Jet Swan, a relatively young British photographer made this work in Scarborough and Ramsgate, a quite homogenous set of cities in the UK. The fact that she is a woman is part of my baggage in reading her perceived intention within the work and it oddly absolves her of a number of the more erotically charged images in the book .
